The concept was presented at Farnborough International Airshow-2018. The device could become the safest and quietest air transport in the world.

Developers and designers continue to create new aircraft that can be an original addition or even a replacement for existing vehicles. The Volerian concept is based on wing-flapping flight, a common "technique" of birds and insects in nature. The machine is quiet and can take off from anywhere and land anywhere.

The peculiarity of the flying machine, which resembles the prop of a sci-fi movie, namely "flapping the wings", adds weight and mechanical complexity (pitching, wiggling). The company's designers told how they will cope with these tasks:

"Carbon fiber will be used to reduce weight, while mass production technologies such as pultrusion will help reduce costs."

The system, according to the creators of the model, is profitable for production due to its low cost and is much quieter and safer than any fan or propeller technology.

“Work on the propulsion system geometry and basic operation is largely complete, and development of a single-seat personal aircraft is about to begin,” explains the design team. The developers also clarified that they will use batteries and stations for recharging - in order to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

The authors of the concept express the hope that daily flights will become fast and quiet - if the development of the device is successful. That is, a person can use a flying car in those situations when he used a car.
