New forecasts of climate change were presented by German and Cypriot researchers. According to experts, by 2050 part of the Middle East and North Africa will become simply uninhabitable, which will lead to a new mass migration of the population from these areas and the actual depopulation of a number of territories.

Scientists predict an increase in summer night air temperatures in the Middle East and North African territories up to 46 ° C. The average temperature at the same time will not be lower than 30 ° C. At the same time, scientists themselves call this scenario "optimistic", which means that the temperature indicators may turn out to be even higher.

One of the main aspects that experts pay attention to is a sharp increase in the number of extremely hot days in the designated regions. Their number in the future may grow fivefold. An increase in the number of hot days in North Africa and the Middle East can be seen today: they have doubled, if we draw an analogy with 1970. By the end of the 21st century, the situation will get worse, and the number of extremely hot days could rise to 200 per year. In this case, the air temperature will reach 50 ° C.

Two main scenarios were analyzed. According to one of them, we will expect a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions, according to the other - an increase. It is important to note that in all cases the air temperature will rise.

Various versions of the causes of global climate change have been put forward, but now most of the researchers tend to blame the people themselves for this. Moreover, according to some experts, humanity has already passed the point of no return.

Recall that in 1998-2012, a number of Middle Eastern countries faced a drought, which was called the worst in the last 900 years. However, global warming will mean not only drought, because coastal areas in many parts of the world will simply be flooded, and people will have to look for salvation in other territories.

Scientists are talking more and more actively about the fact that the temperature on Earth is rising, and there are good reasons for that. For example, March 2016 turned out to be the warmest in the entire history of meteorological observations. It is also quite indicative that the remaining eleven months became the "record holders".
