The new version of the anti-ship complex uses the Tatra T815 as a standard chassis. Prototypes were placed on the basis of KrAZ vehicles.
The missile system RK-360MTS "Neptune" can be called without exaggeration the main development of the modern Ukrainian defense industry. Previously, we could see prototypes, but now we posted photos of the complex's production vehicles on the Web.
During the tests in 2018-2020, the elements of the "Neptune" were on the KrAZ-7634NE chassis with an 8x8 wheel arrangement, as well as the KrAZ-6322 chassis with a 6x6 wheel arrangement. However, AvtoKrAZ was unable to meet the needs of the army, so the Ministry of Defense chose the Czech Tatra T815 chassis. The vehicles also have 6x6 and 8x8 wheel configurations.
The USPU-360 launcher and the TZM-360 transport and loading vehicle have an 8x8 wheel arrangement. Transport vehicle TM-360 and, probably, mobile command post RCP-360 - 6x6. One division of the RK-360MTS "Neptune" complex will normally include 19 pieces of equipment. The total ammunition load of the division is 72 missiles.
The R-360 "Neptune" rocket was developed by the specialists of the "Luch" design bureau. This is an analogue of the Soviet (later Russian) 3M24 missile of the 3K60 Uranium complex.
Rocket "Neptune" has a mass of 870 kilograms, warhead weight - 150 kilograms. The product received a starting solid-propellant booster and an MC-400 main turbojet engine.
The cruising speed of the rocket is about 900 kilometers per hour. It can hit targets at a range of up to 300 kilometers. The R-360 is guided using inertial satellite correction and ARGSN (active radar homing head). It is assumed that the novelty will be shown at the military parade in Kiev in honor of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. It will take place on 24 August.
Earlier, the complex partially proved its capabilities: last year it was tested with a standard warhead. During them, a double salvo launch was performed at two targets, the role of which was played by barges located at a distance of 80 kilometers from the launch site. Both targets were successfully hit.
We will remind, recently took place tests of the new Russian hypersonic complex "Zircon". The carrier was a frigate of project 22350. The rocket was able to develop a speed of M = 7, and the flight range exceeded 350 kilometers (according to some reports, the complex can hit targets at a distance of over 1000 kilometers). It will be routinely used by both surface ships and submarines of the Russian Navy, including new boats of the fourth generation of project 885M.
