We have prepared the top of the most expensive cars, among which there are Bugatti and Lamborghini.

5.Bugatti Veyron Super Sport ($ 1.8 million)

Probably everyone knows about Veyron. This car has long been the fastest hypercar in the world! It began production in 2005 and finished in 2014. The latest modification, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, is also the most powerful at the same time.

Believe it or not, some customers wanting to get their hands on the Veyron wanted it to be even faster. This is how Super Sport was born. It was made more powerful than the base version by 199 hp. with., as a result, the power of the car began to reach 1200 liters. with. instead of 1001. The torque is 1500 Nm. An 8-liter W16 engine was installed under the hood. The car has also changed purely outwardly: it received a lot of racing "chips", for example, numerous air intakes in the front bumper.

All this made it possible to set a new speed record - 431, 072 km / h! Note that this indicator was entered into the Guinness Book of Records (many of these records are set unofficially). However, in the case of serial cars, the speed is limited to 415 km / h - these are the "safety standards". Super Sport was produced in a limited edition: only 25 of these cars were built, after which Bugatti began active work on the successor to the Veyron.

4. Koenigsegg Regera ($ 2.3 million)

On the fourth line of our rating is a new product - the breathtaking Koenigsegg Regera. The car was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2015. The car was created by the Swedes from the small firm Koenigsegg Automotive AB. Conceptually, the Regera continues the tradition of models such as the Agera or CCXR. At the same time, the car has become even more powerful and uncompromising. The car was equipped with a 5-liter V8, which produces 1100 hp. with., and in addition, the Regera received three electric motors. Two of them are located in the rear wheels and one is mounted on the crankshaft. So the total power of the new brainchild of Koenigsegg reaches a very immodest 1500 "horses".

In general, we have one of the most powerful hybrids today (if not the most powerful at all). In addition, the creators have endowed the car with a pleasant appearance, although the car does not stand out against the background of many other fast "horses". Obviously, despite the impressive price, Regera will find its buyer. Production of the car began in 2016, and Koenigsegg plans to build 80 examples within five years. So, as is often the case with hypercars, those who want to buy this car will have to hurry up.

3. Bugatti Chiron ($ 2.7 million)

And here is the successor to the Veyron, which we have already mentioned. The highly anticipated Chiron was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year. Continuity is guessed literally in everything: the same smooth "hypnotizing" lines, the same balance between grace and external aggression. True, it is worth noting that purely visually, the car has become faster than the Veyron. Its performance is impressive too. The W16 engine produces 1500 liters. with.! Together with perfect aerodynamics, this will allow it to accelerate to 100 km / h in just 2.5 seconds. However, the estimated maximum speed looks even more incredible - it is estimated to reach 463 km / h. So we have before us not only one of the most expensive, but also potentially the fastest production car in the world.

However, even if there are those willing to buy this car for $ 2.7 million, they will not be able to test all the Chiron's capabilities, since the creators will limit the maximum speed. In total, Bugatti intends to produce these cars in a limited edition of 500 units. In any case, the Chiron has already left its mark on history. This is a worthy successor not only to the Veyron, but also to such a legend of the last century as the Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic.

2. Lykan Hypersport ($ 3.4 million)

Lykan HyperSport is an iconic car in every sense. Let's start with the fact that this is the first ever Arab supercar. It was created by the efforts of W Motors, which is based in Dubai (UAE). Engineers from Italy and France took part in the development of the Lykan Hypersport, so it would be wrong to call the car a purely Lebanese brainchild.

How can Lykan Hypersport surprise the seasoned audience? Under the hood is a 750-horsepower upgraded 6-cylinder Porsche engine with twin turbocharging and 1000 Nm of torque. The car will be able to accelerate to hundreds in 2, 8 seconds. The maximum speed is 395 km / h.

It would seem that in terms of its characteristics, it does not stand out against the background of other supercars. It even falls short of much cheaper cars like the Koenigsegg Regera and Bugatti Chiron (if they can be called cheap at all, of course). However, this car has something to surprise. It was equipped with diamond-encrusted LED optics. The leather seats are stitched with gold threads, and in addition, the car has received many "chips" that make it the most luxurious in the world.

The fantastic price did not scare off potential customers. Moreover, the Lykan Hypersport made a splash of sorts. At the same time, the management of W Motors announced its intention to build only 7 such cars.

1. Lamborghini Veneno ($ 4.6 million)

But there is one production car that still outperforms even the Lykan Hypersport. His name is Lamborghini Veneno. Various amounts were named for which this car could be purchased, and they all turned out to be more than $ 3 million. We can say that the person who bought it will become the owner of the exclusive brainchild of Lamborghini, because the Italians have built only 3 such cars. And all of them were sold out long before the car was presented to the general public. Actually, it is in the limited edition that the reason for such an incredible cost of the car lies.

According to its characteristics, it does not really stand out against the background of top-end hypercars, although it will make the heart of every motorist beat faster. The hybrid technology hasn't touched Veneno. Its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter engine produces 750 hp. with. The car accelerates to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds. The maximum speed is 355 km / h. The creators widely used the latest materials, the supercar body is completely made of carbon fiber. This made the car extremely light even by hypercar standards - it weighs only 1450 kg. And Veneno has also become a hero of virtuality, and you can ride it in Need For Speed, Forza Horizon and many other games.
