According to American scientists, the maximum human life expectancy at the end of the 21st century can reach 125-132 years.
The work was published in the journal Demographic Research. The oldest person, the data about whom were officially documented, is considered the Frenchwoman Jeanne Louise Kalman, who at the time of her death in 1997 was 122 years old.
Today, the oldest person on the planet is 118-year-old Kane Tanaka from Japan. Thus, perhaps, no one has succeeded in crossing the threshold of 122 years.
Scientists from the University of Washington (USA) decided to estimate the maximum life expectancy of people by 2100. To do this, they used statistical modeling. It included such parameters as the possible development of medicine, genetics and other indicators.
Researchers have shown that by the end of the century, individuals will be able to live to 125-132 years. More specifically, according to experts, the probability that by 2100 a person will be able to live to be 126 years old is 89 percent, up to 128 - 44 percent, and up to 130 - 13 percent. Today this is an absolute record, which, according to official data, has not yet been reached by any person on Earth.
